NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) July 28, 2008 – Canadian artist Aaron W. Lacey to show his latest work in New York, at the Agora Gallery from October 1st to the 21st. Lacey is donating 70% of proceeds from the sale of any painting that may sell from the Beyond Borders exhibition, an exhibition of Fine Art from Canada, (October 1 – October 21, 2008 / reception on October 2), to Art Start (www.art-start.org) and to Sentebale (www.sentebale.org).
The value of the donated art to Art-Start (www.art-start.org) is $19,500.00 and $13,500.00 to Sentebale (www.sentebale.org) to the Beyond Borders: Exhibition of Fine Art from Canada.
Angela Di Bello, director at the Agora Gallery describes Lacey’s work in those terms, “Aaron W. Lacey creates remarkable artworks with a mixed media process that incorporates moulding pastes, clothing and acrylic paint. While evoking consumer culture as in Pop Art and the untamed aesthetics of Abstract Expressionism, each piece has an individual character based upon the materials that he is working with. The petrified state of the fabrics appears nearly archaeological while its textures and folds create a visually dynamic force within the work. By varying his process Lacey is able to create a swath of fascinating effects, from bubbling metal to glistening flower petals”.
Lacey’s approach to art merges his passion for all that is beautiful and sensorial with science, the artist explains "My work is unique and rare because I have fused science, art and fashion," he states. "All my work has texture for the purpose of touch."

“Dalai Lama Renaissance”, narrated by Harrison Ford, Premieres Theatrically in U.S. on May 23
Documentary is the first theatrical film about the Dalai Lama in U.S. since international spotlight on China and Tibet
“What the Bleep Do We Know” Physicists
LOS ANGELES (RUSHPRNEWS) May 8, 2008 – “Dalai Lama Renaissance” (www.DalaiLamaFilm.com), an award-winning 80 minute documentary film narrated by actor Harrison Ford, holds its U.S. theatrical premiere on May 23 in San Francisco.
“Dalai Lama Renaissance,” produced and directed by Khashyar Darvich, is the first film about the Dalai Lama and Tibet to open theatrically in the United States since the international spotlight placed on China for its firm handling of Tibetan protestors speaking out against Chinese policies in Tibet.
“Dalai Lama Renaissance” opens one day after the premiere of Harrison Ford’s “Indiana Jones 4,” which opens internationally on May 22, and is only among a small handful of documentaries that Ford has chosen to narrate during his career.
"I narrated Dalai Lama Renaissance,” says Harrison Ford, “because I believe His Holiness is making a positive influence in our world. For me, the film represented an opportunity to continue assisting the optimistic efforts of an extraordinary individual.”
In 1995, Ford spoke to the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee about Chinese policy in
Ford told the Congressional panel: “The Tibetan struggle is no ordinary freedom struggle. It is a path of non-violence. As an American who cares deeply about justice, freedom and democracy, I can tell you that this is a cause that touches at the core of our own values. It is about the survival of a people who seek only to democratically determine their own government, to have the freedom to practice their own religion without interference, and to bring up their children in a safe environment where they can be proud of their unique heritage.” In the documentary, the Dalai Lama discusses the calls for economic sanctions against China, and emphasizes that he could not support economic sanctions towards China since it would hurt the ordinary Chinese poor.
The film features two of the starring quantum physicists from the hit theatrical documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know,” Physicists Fred Alan Wolf and Amit Goswami. Also appearing in “Dalai Lama Renaissance” are Michael Beckwith (who appears in the film “The Secret” with Wolf), Air America radio host Thom Hartmann, and others. The film tells the story of 40 Western innovative thinkers who travel to
“Dalai Lama Renaissance” premieres theatrically in the United States on May 23 in San Francisco at the Roxie Theater, and in Santa Fe , New Mexico at the Santa Fe Film Center . On May 29, the film screens theatrically at the Boulder Theater in Boulder , Colorado , and then begins a theatrical run in Portland in June. It is expected to play in several additional cities across the U.S. On October 8, the film opens theatrically in Germany , Austria and Switzerland , and will be released in Holland and Belgium in November. It is expected to be released in several other countries around the world before the end of the year. “Dalai Lama Renaissance” has won 12 film festival awards, and is the official selection of 38 film festivals around the world, where it consistently has attracted sold out audiences. Toronto, ON (rushprnews) June 19, 2007 - The Wrong Move brings Sheila Kindellan-Sheehan’s bestselling Caitlin Donovan series to Canada’s largest metropolis – all the while sticking to the series’ roots: thrilling storytelling, compelling and realistic settings, and true old-fashion suspense novel with sexy and modern female leads.
Her team of accidental detectives Caitlin Donovan and best friend Carmen DiMaggio, away from Montreal and their beloved Florida, plunge into crime solving in Toronto. The Wrong Move makes characters out of familiar Toronto locations such as Bloor Street, CN Tower, High Park, and the Village.

Paris Hilton’s Prison Wear Up For Sale on eBay
by Anne Howard for Rush PR News
news source: eBay
Hollywood, CA (rushprnews) June 5, 2007 - Believe it or not, but the prison jumpsuit worn by ParisHilton is already up for sale on eBay. How the prison garment ended up on eBay remains a well-guarded secret.
Right after the 2007 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, Paris Hilton was taken to jail to start her 21 days prison stint. Apparently, Paris Hilton didn’t like the fit of the government-issued orange jumpsuit and matching pair of shorts and requested a size medium. The original jumpsuit is now up for sale on eBay.
The seller of the jumpsuit who apparently works in the detention center and has access to Paris Hilton stated,” “She has complaining about everything! She demanded a female medium and they didn’t fit. These are the original pair of Paris Hilton orange jail shorts and jumpsuit! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!!!”
Rush PR News got a ” no comment” from Hilton’s rep.
The public appetite for everything Paris seems to know no end and even a garment worn by this most famous detainee for less than an hour might bring in the big eBay bucks.

The founder of Funfit Celia Kibler, a childhood fitness pioneer offers yoga program from age 3 to 13 at her center.
Rockville, MD (rushprnews) June 1, 2007 - There are many underlying reasons a child or adult becomes obese. One proven contributing factor for kids in addition to parental lifestyle is stress and the use of food as an escape or as a comforter. Yoga offers a great way for kids to control stress and teach them how to relax during their normally hectic lives. It also helps them to find alternative ways to react to situations that may otherwise cause them to reach for food as a way to calm down. Celia Kibler recently featured nationwide at the AP and Fox News has developed various programs to address these issues.
MyYoga™ Funfit's Yoga classes are based on Kundalini Yoga and are taught by Celia Kibler, President of Funfit Inc., certified Instructor, Level 2 Radiant Child Yoga.
Yoga has been proven to be an effective tool when dealing with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Here is what one of the parents of a young yoga student had to say about their son David, a 6-year old, “He tends to be rambunctious and easily distractible. A handful and we wanted to try something else", his mother said.
His parents decided to try the MyYoga class at Funfit, as an alternative to medication. His parents added, "Typically David is so wound up at night, he cannot fall asleep. He has begun to use the meditation techniques that he has learned in class, and he is able to relax and easily fall asleep for the evening."
"In our MyYoga™ classes, children discover new ways to relax, concentrate and exercise, all disguised as fun active play and games. The activities they learn in class are easily adaptable at home and school, when stress levels can get too high and anxiety increases. Yoga puts a new light on their world and makes it that much more enjoyable,” stated Celia Kibler.
Funfit puts the FUN in kids' Yoga and invites the parents to join in all classes. The beginner yoga classes teaches the meditative and calming benefits of Yoga through movement, games, stories, brief meditation, concentration and song, the more advanced classes deepens the practice. Children up to age 13 learn various yoga positions and postures, while improving their focus, strength, coordination, balance and confidence. Yoga has been proven to help children focus and succeed in school and other activities and works well for children with special needs.
Kibler, a childhood obesity and fitness maverick has designed a variety of all-inclusive family programs in which the goal is to alter family lifestyles in order to achieve overall well-being. Summer camps are also being offered.

Jay-Z and Dash Face Lawsuit for Stealing Concept Behind”State Property” by Anne Howard for Rush PR News
Los Angeles, CA (rushprnews) May 25, 2007-It seems that the storyline of “State Property” didn’t belong to Jay-Z and his long-time business partner Damon Dash after all. That is the claim made by Antonne Jones in a $15 million lawsuit filed in New York’s Manhattan Federal Court earlier this month.
Antonne Jones the author of novel “The Family: A Philadelphia Story” states that his book is the basis for the 2002 film. Jones and Jay-z were in negotiations when Jones had been offered by Jay-Z and Dash a mere $50,000for the rights of his book. Jones turned it down for being too low, much below from the requested amount of $500,000. He claimed that after his refusal, he never heard from the pair again.
According to Jones, the plot line for the movie is directly taken from his book, the hood, glory and money. He is seeking $15 million in damages from Carter, Dash and the movie’s distributors, Lions Gate.
The film took in over $2 million at the U.S. box office following its January 2002 release and was poorly received by critics and the public alike.
